Joshua vs. Fury in front of 100,000 fans in LA?

The mega-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury continues to take shape. According to the latest information, the British heavyweight duel could surprisingly take place at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles – with Netflix as a possible broadcast partner.

The long-awaited heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could take place in the USA rather than the UK. BoxingScene reports that the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles is currently the preferred venue for the clash between the two former world champions. According to the report, Saudi Arabia’s boxing promoter Turki Al-Sheikh is said to have put the arena forward as the preferred location during the event involving Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeven in Egypt. The modern stadium on the outskirts of Los Angeles is one of the most spectacular sports venues in the world, can accommodate up to 100,000 spectators and will host World Cup matches and the Super Bowl in the coming years.

Although many British fans are hoping for a fight in the United Kingdom, there are apparently organizational reasons for holding the event in the USA. Above all, the weather conditions in the fall and winter months are seen as a decisive factor. The covered SoFi Stadium would offer ideal conditions for an event of this magnitude. Before a possible showdown, however, both boxers must first complete their next tasks. Joshua returns to the ring on July 25 in Saudi Arabia against Kristian Prenga. Fury says he is planning a fight on August 1 in Dublin before the long-awaited clash could take place later in the year.

It was previously reported that Netflix would like to take over the worldwide broadcast of the fight. In addition, Zuffa Boxing boss Dana White recently stated that his organization would promote the event. In addition to Joshua against Fury, other high-caliber duels could become part of the event. Possible additions include a WBO welterweight fight between Devin Haney and Keyshawn Davis and a clash between Shakur Stevenson and O’Shaquie Foster.
