Anthony Joshua is about to make his return to the big boxing stage. The former two-time heavyweight world champion will face Albanian Kristian Prenga in the Jeddah Superdome on July 25. The fight is entitled “The Comeback” and will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.

Joshua and Prenga faced each other for the first time at the official press conference in London. For Saudi Arabia, the event is another building block in its strategy to attract major international sporting events to the country. Turki Al-Sheikh emphasized: “We are currently experiencing a growing global interest in the events in the Kingdom. This is clearly reflected in the attention this fight has received since it was announced.”

Joshua goes into the fight with a clear mission. After his knockout win against Jake Paul, the 2012 Olympic champion wants to take the next step back towards the top of the heavyweight division. “I have a clear goal in mind and know exactly what challenge awaits me. I am convinced that I will go into this fight in the best possible shape,” said the 36-year-old.

Prenga arrives with a dangerous record. The Albanian has won 20 of his 21 professional fights – all victories have come early. For him, the duel with Joshua is the biggest fight of his career. “I have great respect for AJ and everything he has achieved. But everyone has their moment – and I believe that mine has come now.”
