Three AGON fighters win in Argentina: Erislandy Alvarez, Lazaro Alvarez and Hamsat Shadalov impress in Buenos Aires.

The international boxing team of German promoter AGON Sports & Events put down a strong marker in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Friday night. At an event organized by Sampson Lewkowicz and Carlos Tello at the Casino Buenos Aires, three AGON fighters scored convincing victories.
Olympic champion Erislandy Alvarez clearly dominates
The Cuban Olympic champion from Paris 2024, Erislandy Alvarez (5-0, 2 knockouts), continued his winning streak in professional boxing in impressive style. At super lightweight, he gave Brazilian Eduardo Costa Do Nascimento (12-5, 5 knockouts) no chance and won unanimously on points. One of the judges scored all ten rounds for the Cuban (100-90), while the other two only awarded the Brazilian one round (99-91 each). Alvarez impressed with his clean footwork, precise jab and controlled forward momentum – a real demonstration of power.
Also from Cuba is three-time Olympic bronze medalist and amateur world champion Lazaro Alvarez (8-0, 5 knockouts), who left no doubts against Colombian Jose Munoz at lightweight. Alvarez sent his opponent to the floor twice before the referee stopped the one-sided fight in round four. The technically adept southpaw controlled the action from the outset and showed why many see him as a future title contender.
Hamsat Shadalov remains unbeaten
Hamsat Shadalov (11-0, 3 knockouts), AGON’s super featherweight hopeful, also kept his clean slate. Shadalov showed a tactically mature performance against local hero Lazaro Ramiro Escobar (6-3) and won unanimously on points. Two judges scored all rounds for the German technician (100-90 each), a third saw it a little more narrowly (97-93). Shadalov controlled the fight from a distance with his jab and never allowed Escobar to develop.
All three fighters competed for the regional WBA title as AGON aims to move its stars up the rankings.
