David Benavidez (29-0, 24 knockouts) and David Morrell (11-0, 9 knockouts) were looking for new challenges after being denied the chance to fight superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at super middleweight. Now both fighters have the opportunity to establish themselves as new superstars at light heavyweight.

Benavidez was already able to impress in his new limit last year. The US boxer defeated former world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk convincingly on points in the fight for the WBC Interim World Championship. Morrell, on the other hand, showed a mixed performance against Radivoje Kalajdzic, but in the end won just as clearly on points. Both fighters bring great knockout qualities to the ring, so we can expect an explosive fight with an early finish.

The undercard also has a lot to offer: Brandon Figueroa meets Stephen Fulton, Isaac Cruz fights Angel Fierro, and Jesus Ramos Jr. steps into the ring against Jeison Rosario. The event will be broadcast in the USA via Amazon Prime PPV. A European provider has not yet been determined, but TrillerTV could show the fight. The prelims will run free on YouTube from midnight, with the main card starting at 2am.
