16th Bounce Fight Night: New location for legendary boxing event

On March 29, the “Bounce Fight Night” returns in a new dimension under the direction of Marcos Nader – this time at the “Multiversum” in Schwechat.

That’s how it should be again: The Bounce Fight Fight used to be held in the Albert-Schultz-Halle in Vienna. On March 25, it will be held in the “Multiversum” in Schwechat, which offers almost the same capacity with almost 2,700 seats. (Photo: BC Bounce)

The 16th Bounce Fight Night has a new venue and will take place on March 29 at the “Multiversum” in Schwechat. With a capacity of almost 2,700 seats and a program that offers both Olympic and professional boxing at the highest level, the evening promises to be an unforgettable experience.

The Bounce Fight Night offers a packed program with a total of 13 fights. These include six Olympic duels and seven professional fights. Particularly exciting: three title fights are on the card.

Michaela Kotaskova as headliner

In the main bout, crowd favorite and reigning world champion Michaela Kotaskova will defend her WBF Welterweight World Title – a highlight boxing fans should not miss. Mobin Kahraze, rising star from the Bounce team, will fight for the WBF International title – a key milestone in his career.

Heavyweight Nikola Prajo will also step into the ring to secure this coveted title. Returning to the ring after a long break will be Bounce boxer and heavyweight Seun Salami. Also taking part from the Bounce boxing stable: Marcel Meinl, Adam Almodaress, Sewo Burushian, Michael Derouiche, Ivan Bezuhlyi, Arsen Chabyan and Ricardo Dieguez (professional debut) as well as guest boxer and bronze medal winner (2020) Gleb Bakshi.

Fadi Merza: One last dance in the ring

A special emotional highlight of the evening will be the farewell fight of Thai boxing legend Fadi Merza. The 47-year-old Viennese will lace up his gloves for the last time and end his short boxing career. “I will leave my last drop of sweat in the ring and give my all once again to give the audience a spectacle,” promises Merza, who wants to enjoy the evening with fans, family and his son Michel, who will be there live. Why is he ending his career? “My wife made me promise that this would be my last fight for good. I actually still have a lot of energy left in me, but of course I have to think about my family first and foremost,” says the Viennese.

Big stage, big goals

After years on a smaller scale, Bounce Fight Night is now returning to a large arena. Promoter and organizer Marcos Nader is looking forward to the event: “We have heard the pleas of our fans and are going big again!” Due to the pandemic, the legendary boxing event moved from the Albert-Schultz-Halle in Vienna to the premises of the Hotel Intercontinental, where it has been held in a closed setting ever since. “Thanks to our excellent partnership with the Hotel Intercontinental, we have now had plenty of time to strengthen our brand and allow our athletes to grow,” says Nader. “Now we want to return to a large hall.”

Thanks to cooperations such as with ORF Sport Plus on TV and the many reports in the domestic media, the “Bounce Fight Night” brand has been able to establish itself far beyond Austria’s borders. International boxers show great interest in attending this event – a sign of the strong positioning of domestic boxing.
