In a new documentary, star coach Georg Bramowski speaks full of hope about his protégé Osleys Iglesias – the explosive super-middleweight from Cuba who trains in Bremen.

Osleys Iglesias (13-0, 12 knockouts) has enjoyed a meteoric rise since signing with Montreal-based Eye of the Tiger Management. The 27-year-old southpaw is now ranked fourth in the IBF and third in the WBC world rankings. In 2024, he made the boxing world sit up and take notice with early wins against Marcelo Coceres, Evgeny Shvedenko, Sena Agbeko and Petro Ivanov – all knockouts in the opening rounds.

Bramowski, who has already worked with former world champions such as Arthur Abraham, Jack Culcay and Yoan Pablo Hernandez, sees Iglesias as perhaps his greatest talent to date. The Cuban is due to compete in an IBF eliminator in the summer for the right to challenge for the world title – currently held by his compatriot William Scull.

In the from PunchingGrace.com produced documentary The Promise, Bramowski says:
“I saw the fire in his eyes. Boxing is what really makes him happy. I realized right away that he wants to be a world champion – that was his goal and still is today. He knocks on the door of the elite and shouts: ‘Come and face me!”

The experienced coach adds: “I was lucky that my wife speaks Spanish – she helped me a lot with him at the beginning. But you don’t have to talk much with a real fighter. A boxer has to understand you just by looking into your eyes.”
