On September 12, a real heavyweight will step into the ring at the Uber Eats Music Hall: Cuban Carlos Castillo (7-0, 5 knockouts), who lives in Berlin, will be fighting his eighth professional fight. His opponent is the experienced Ukrainian Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko (10-18), who despite his record is considered an extremely tough opponent, as he has never been stopped prematurely! The fight is scheduled for eight rounds.

Castillo, who is celebrated by his fans as the “Hulk”, is currently preparing at the AGON Gym in Mallorca. He is completing intensive sparring sessions there – including with Sanel Hasanovic (Kuc Box-Promotion), who has already been invited to train with the undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk on several occasions. Speaking of world class: Agit Kabayel, who defeated China’s Zhilei Zhang in Riyadh in February, was also able to count on Castillo’s support once again in his preparation.

“I feel stronger than ever and I’m really looking forward to boxing in Berlin again. Dovbyshchenko is a tough man who no one has ever been able to defeat early. But that’s exactly what I want to change and show that the ‘Hulk’ is ready for bigger challenges,” said Castillo, who is being prepared by AGON coach Franquis Aldama.

Heavyweight talent with charisma and clout

Promoter Ingo Volckmann from AGON Sports explains: “Carlos is a real heavyweight talent with charisma and punching power. The fact that he has already prepared top boxers like Agit Kabayel in sparring speaks for his class. On September 12, he wants to prove this in front of his home crowd. We can still expect a lot from him!”

Berlin super featherweight Hamsat Shadalov is in the main fight of the evening. The “Chechen Borz” will fight the unbeaten Spaniard Alex de la Rosa for the next international WBA title. In addition, his childhood friend and training partner Paul Wall will fight Hamburg’s Antonio Fechner for the German championship. Arlen López and Lázaro Álvarez, two highly decorated Cuban Olympic heroes from the AGON stable, will also be coming to Berlin.

Tickets for the fight night are available at Ticketmaster.de.
