Granit Shala made an impressive comeback on Saturday evening. The heavyweight won the IBF International and IBO Inter-Continental titles in a top German duel against Daniel Dietz. The main fight of the Ge-Man Fight Night at the Karlsruhe Christmas Circus offered fans a boxing evening full of excitement.

Granit Shala impresses with tactics and precision

The fight began cautiously. Both boxers felt each other out, but Shala made the first moves. He gained an early advantage with quick hands and precise combinations. Dietz, who is known as the “German steam hammer”, used his jab, but was hardly convincing with his feared right punching hand. Shala repeatedly found gaps to put pressure on his 2.04 meter tall opponent. His combinations and the long hook were effective.

Split decision gives Granit Shala the win

After twelve intense rounds, the judges scored the fight 117-111, 112-116 and 115-113 in Shala’s favor. The victory was close, but deserved. Shala was tactically variable and was not intimidated by his opponent’s reach. With this success, the Landau native celebrates an impressive comeback after suffering a defeat in April.

Granit Shala: “I’m open to everything!”

After the fight, Shala was visibly relieved. “It was a tough fight. Daniel is very big and uncomfortable, but he didn’t do much. I was able to dominate him,” said Shala. “These titles mean a lot to me. I will continue to give my all to get to the top of the world.” At the same time, he hopes that his success will make German-German duels in the heavyweight division more popular.

Future prospects for Granit Shala

Coach Agron Kurtisi and AGON Sports are proud of their protégé. The victory now puts Shala in a promising position in the international heavyweight division. D
