Jared Anderson returns to the ring on February 14. The heavyweight from Toledo, Ohio, wants to make a fresh start against the Greek Marios Kollias.

Anderson, nicknamed “The Real Big Baby”, suffered a bitter defeat in August last year. The 25-year-old was knocked out in the fifth round against Martin Bakole. Now he wants to show that he is still one of the strongest heavyweights in the world. “I believe in Jared’s potential and see him at the top again,” said promoter legend Bob Arum. The fight will take place at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York and will be part of the ESPN+ broadcast surrounding the main event between Denys Berinchyk and Keyshawn Davis. German light middleweight Slawa Spomer will also fight on the undercard.
Kollias (12-3-1, 10 knockouts) is known for his merciless toughness. The Greek stopped German boxer Felix Langberg in June 2023. The 33-year-old suffered his only knockout defeat on his professional debut in 2014. But Anderson is also known for his knockout qualities. The US boxer has won 15 of his 17 professional victories early. It is therefore highly unlikely that the fight will go beyond the scheduled ten rounds. In any case, the fight is decisive for Anderson’s future career. The pressure is high, but Anderson has shown in the past that he can handle expectations.
