Heavyweight Jarrell Miller has made a knockout announcement ahead of the main event of Matchroom Boxing in Las Vegas, promising to inflict his first defeat on Lenier Pero when the two meet in the ring tonight.

The US-American announced that he would clearly dominate his opponent and stop him early. “Pero is a phenomenal boxer with a strong amateur career, but he’s lost to the best like Usyk and Hrgovic – that means nothing to me,” explained Miller at yesterday’s official press conference. “When I’m in shape, I’m a maniac in the ring. My last fight wasn’t my best performance, but we did what we had to do. I went back to Philly, to the Dungeon, and worked hard every day. I’m going to have fun giving him a beating – I’m going to beat his face bloody on Saturday night.”

Miller (27-1-2, 22 knockouts) fought a curious duel with Kingsley Ibeh in January. The hard-hitting American lost his toupee during the fight and had to fight bald for much of his majority decision victory.

“It’s like a Lotus Elise sports car – quite fast, but not a lot of horsepower, but agile in the corners,” Miller continued. “I’m more like a big garbage truck – and I’m just going to roll over it. It’s not going to be pretty. He can run away, but I’ll catch him. And if I catch him, it’s over – simple as that.” Cuban Pero (13-0, 8 knockouts) travels to the fight after a unanimous points win over Jordan Thompson last November.

Miller added, “How long does it take to order a Big Mac at the drive-thru? That’s fast food, right? That’s exactly how we’re going to treat this – done quickly, one bite and send him home. We’re going to stop him. It’s either going to be one punch or a million punches.”
