Our knockout of the week today comes from Guido Vianello, who knocked out Alexis Barriere in round five on the Ennis-Lima undercard.

Italian heavyweight Guido Vianello celebrated the biggest win of his career to date on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia – with a brutal knockout in round five against the previously unbeaten Alexis Barriere from Canada.
After an even opening phase, the 31-year-old increasingly found his rhythm from the second round onwards. The 1.98-metre tall Roman made clever use of his reach advantages, cleverly cutting off his opponent’s path and repeatedly scoring with precise right hands. The tide finally turned in the fourth round: a powerful right hook sent Barriere to the floor for the first time. The Canadian saved himself going into the break, but was visibly shaken. Just seconds after the start of the fifth round, Vianello followed up with a sharp 1-2 combination – Barriere went down badly and the fight was stopped after 26 seconds of the fifth round.
