After a ten-month injury break, Nina Meinke is back and dominates Dyana Vargas. The IBF featherweight world champion also secures the IBO belt.

After a ten-month injury layoff, Nina Meinke (21-3, 4 knockouts) returned to the ring and secured a clear victory over Dyana Vargas (20-3-1, 13 knockouts) by unanimous decision in the Fischauktionshalle Hamburg. The judges scored the bout 119-109, 119-109 and 120-108 – a clear triumph for the Berlin boxer.
With this victory, Meinke successfully defended her IBF featherweight world title and also added the IBO belt to her portfolio. Vargas thus failed in her second attempt to win a world title. The Dominican had previously lost out to Skye Nicolson for the WBC belt in 2024.
On the undercard, Emanuel Odiase showed his class as the heavyweight pro defeated Ukrainian journeyman Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko (10-20-1, 7 knockouts) over eight rounds by unanimous decision. Odiase improved his record to 10-0 (8 knockouts), going the distance for the first time since his second fight against Amine Boucetta in February 2024.
Other German heavyweights also impressed. Felix Langberg (18-2, 16 knockouts) stopped Djuar El Sheikh (23-3-1, 22 knockouts) with a knockout in the fourth round. Peter Kadiru (22-1, 13 knockouts) defeated Mauricio Nicolas Barragan (20-6, 12 knockouts) by unanimous decision over eight rounds. Victor Jurk (13-0, 11 knockouts) forced Emilio Ezequiel Zarate (21-24-3, 12 knockouts) to retire in round two.
