Legends in the ring? Manny Pacquiao is hoping for a rematch against Floyd Mayweather – ten years after their historic boxing classic in Las Vegas.

Manny Pacquiao is once again making headlines after his comeback against Mario Barrios: The 46-year-old Filipino can imagine a rematch of the mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather – but the US American would have to end his years-long break from the ring for that to happen. “If he comes back and signs, we’ll fight. I have no problem with that. I’ll take any opponent in my weight class,” explained Pacquiao after the thrilling draw against Barrios in Las Vegas.
The first duel between the two boxing legends in 2015 broke all records: with more than 600 million dollars in revenue and 4.6 million pay-per-view purchases, the fight is still considered the most financially successful boxing match of all time. Mayweather won clearly on points and later ended his career unbeaten (50-0).
Pacquiao, who was recently inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, is currently planning a rematch against Barrios or another fight against a top welterweight. But for boxing fans, the prospect of a second showdown between Pacquiao and Mayweather remains a tantalizing scenario – even ten years after their first encounter.
