Aschersleben is celebrating a very special boxing anniversary: on September 27, 2025, the SES Boxing Gala will return to the Ballhaus Arena to pay tribute to “100 years of boxing in Aschersleben”. Local hero Julian Vogel, the undefeated WBO junior world champion in the half-middleweight division, will be the focus of the evening. The 22-year-old will be stepping into the ring for his third title defense – in front of his home crowd.

Vogel, who is regarded as one of Germany’s greatest young talents, wants to make a statement once again in his home town and continue the success story of his still young career. The opponents and supporting program for the event will be announced at a press conference in the coming weeks. But one thing is already clear: The gala will feature Vogel as well as other fighters from the SES boxing stable and “Team Germany”.

The event will be broadcast live on MDR as part of “SPORT im Osten – Boxen live”. Tickets are available immediately from Thursday (July 24) at www.eventim.de, at all known advance booking offices and via the SES ticket hotline. The organizers promise an atmospheric evening that combines boxing tradition and a modern event atmosphere.
