Tyson Fury is sticking to his word – the “Gypsy King” is done with boxing for good. In an Instagram video from picturesque Lake Como, the 35-year-old Brit made it clear: “I’m happy, satisfied with what I’ve achieved. What more could I do?”

Rumors of a comeback had recently been doing the rounds, fueled by training videos with coach SugarHill Steward. But Fury, who lost both of his fights against Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 and had to relinquish all of his titles, waves them away: “I’ve won 22 belts, earned around 250 million – what else is there to come?”

The former lineal heavyweight world champion was recently the highest-paid boxer of the year and ranked third in the global sports earnings lists. Even a superfight against Anthony Joshua now seems to be off the table, partly because Joshua is currently recovering from elbow surgery.

Tyson Fury concludes: “I’m retired – and I’m staying retired. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone anymore.” His gaze wanders across the lake. Not a boxing ring in sight – just peace, reflection and a man at peace with himself.
