AGON Sports celebrates its return to Cuba on November 29. Nine fights, four title duels and four professional debuts await at the “Cuban Boxing Night II” in Varadero – live & free on YouTube.

It’s Fightweek! AGON Sports returns with a spectacular event and presents the second edition of the “Cuban Boxing Night”, which will be broadcast live and free of charge on the official AGON Sports YouTube channel. The fight card is set! Cuba’s talents will face international touchstones, while established AGON boxers aim for their next steps towards the top of the world. Fans can look forward to nine professional boxing matches, including four professional debuts by top-class Cuban amateur champions.
AGON’s 2024 Olympic gold medalist Erislandy Alvarez will contest the main fight of the evening. The young Cuban hopeful will face Rogelio Jimenez in a ten-round WBA Continental Latin America title fight. Alvarez, one of Cuba’s most dangerous young guns, will be looking to build on his perfect start in the professional ranks and claim his sixth victory.
Lazaro Alvarez faces Raul Hernandez in another WBA Continental America title fight. Cuban star Alvarez wants to extend his impressive streak and continue to shake up the lightweight division. International class is coming to Varadero with Moussa Gholam. The Moroccan-born fights Nicolas Nahuel Botelli and wants to defend his WBA Continental Gold America title.
Four professional debuts in Varadero
After his premature debut success in Berlin in September, Yusnier Sorsano Ruiz will also be boxing in Cuba. He will face the experienced Nicolas David Veron in a super welterweight bout over a maximum of eight rounds. Germany will also be represented in Varadero when middleweight Malek Semmo steps into the ring for his third professional fight. He will face Julio Perez, who is also unbeaten in two fights. There will also be four debuts for major Cuban amateur champions: Saidel Horta meets Misael Vasquez at featherweight: Horta, runner-up in the 2023 World Championships and two-time Cuban champion, starts his professional career against a highly dangerous opponent.
Nelson Williams meets Jankelly Rodriguez Paulino at cruiserweight: The three-time Cuban national champion Williams fights against a professional who is unbeaten in four fights. Williams wants to make a statement right away. Keylor Garcia meets Armando Fontalvo at light heavyweight: At the age of 22, the talented light heavyweight Garcia begins his journey in professional boxing.
