Serrano asserts himself early on, while Han, Juárez and Robinson successfully defend their World Championship titles on the undercard

Puerto Rican boxing superstar Amanda Serrano made short work of Cheyenne Hanson in El Paso, defending her WBA and WBO featherweight world titles. Serrano (49-4-1, 32 knockouts) scored a second-round stoppage but suffered severe swelling to her right eye in the main event of the fight televised on ESPN and Sky Sports. Hanson (17-3, 13 knockouts) was repeatedly put on the defensive by Serrano, who landed a series of hard combinations to the body, eventually forcing his opponent to stop the fight even though Hanson was still on his feet. “Ever since Cheyenne put that bubble in my face, I knew something good was going to happen,” Serrano said in the post-fight interview with ESPN. “In the first round, I was trying to read [Hanson]. In the corner, I said, ‘I got it.'”
On the undercard, Stephanie Han (13-0, 3 knockouts) defeated former UFC champion Holly Holm (34-4-3, 9 knockouts) in a hard-fought rematch and secured a Majority Decision to defend her WBA Lightweight World Title. The judges scored the fight 96-94, 95-95 and 96-94, reflecting the close nature of the fight. Han said in the post-fight interview, “I want Katie Taylor. She beat my sister. I want the rematch. I would go to Ireland.”
Lourdes Juárez (40-4, 5 knockouts) defended her WBC world semi-flyweight title with a hard-fought split decision win over former minimumweight world champion Yokasta Valle (34-4, 10 knockouts). Delsey Robinson (12-3, 4 knockouts) also defended her IBF and WBO middleweight world titles with a commanding Unanimous Decision victory over Mary Spencer (10-4, 6 knockouts), extending her unbeaten streak to seven fights.
