On May 10, one of the most exciting rematches in international women’s boxing will take place in Rostock’s Stadthalle! IBF world champion Nina Meinke (19-3, 4 knockouts) will defend her featherweight title against Argentinian Daniela Bermúdez (32-5-3, 12 knockouts). The fight is the co-main event of the P2M event“Rostock boxt! – The return!” and promises to be a heated and high-class rematch of their first duel.

Last September, the two exceptional athletes fought one of the most intense women’s fights of the year in Hamburg. “The Brave” took the title in a fight characterized by cuts and drama – the fight went down in the boxing history books as the “Blood Battle of Hamburg”. Now she wants to prove that the victory was no coincidence. “I assume that Daniela is in top form,” said Meinke at the press conference. “But the title should stay in the stable!” Bermúdez also left no doubt about her determination: “I have trained hard and will give everything to bring this belt back to Argentina.” The title fight will once again be over the men’s distance of 12 rounds of 3 minutes each.

Langberg, Lewandowski and co. also ready

In addition to Nina Meinke’s eagerly awaited world championship fight, the fight card in Rostock’s Stadthalle offers other top-class encounters. The focus will be on the all-North German heavyweight duel between local hero Felix Langberg (15-2) and Dennis Lewandowski (19-6), in which the WBF European title is at stake.

Langberg is highly motivated: “I have not only developed physically, but also mentally. This time I’m ready to take the title.” Challenger Lewandowski weighs in at 25 kilograms less than in previous fights and announces offensive pressure: “I’m ready for ten tough rounds!”

Gleb Bakshi (5-0), former amateur world champion and Olympic medalist, will also step into the ring for the first time in Germany. He will face the experienced Argentinian Gino Natalio Godoy (31-4) – a tough test for Bakshi. Other fighters from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will also be celebrating their home match. David Wilken (14-1) returns after a long break and will face Engin Solmaz (8-64-3) at heavyweight, while Martin Dachschütt, Ramzan Amkhadov and Gol Agha Haddi will also be up against strong opponents. With a total of twelve fights and an atmospheric backdrop, “Rostock boxt! – Die Rückkehr!” promises to be another real boxing holiday for the region.
