Former world champion Timothy Bradley doubts Davis’ motivation: after personal problems and poor form, “Tank” is at the end of his career.

Has Gervonta “Tank” Davis already finished boxing inside? If former world champion and Hall-of-Famer Timothy Bradley is anything to go by, the answer is yes. “Tank is done,” Bradley told The Ring after the final Top Rank broadcast at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. “He’s taken the gloves off, hung them up – he’s through.”
Bradley, who continues to appreciate Davis’ boxing talent, sees a clear drop in Davis’ motivation since the draw against Lamont Roach in March. The WBA light-heavyweight champion, who started as the heavy favorite, was unable to convince at the time and has since planned a rematch, but a date is still unclear.
Added to this are Davis’ personal problems: On July 11, the 30-year-old was arrested for assault in Miami. According to the police report, there was an argument with his ex-girlfriend, the mother of his children. The court hearing is scheduled for today, July 29. Instead of sporting goals, Davis now only seems to be interested in lucrative “crossover fights”. For example, a possible showdown with influencer boxer Jake Paul is considered realistic should Davis step into the ring again. Nevertheless, Bradley believes that Davis’ focus is no longer on the sport: “He’s just looking for the big payday – then he’ll say goodbye.”
