It will be the new German “Home of the Heavyweights”: In addition to Emanuel Odiase, heavyweights Viktor Jurk and Peter Kadiru are now also fighting for the Heidelberg “Ringside Zone”.

The Heidelberg-based boxing promotion agency Ringside Zone and its Managing Director Florian Winter are sending out another strong signal for the return of German boxing to the top of the world rankings. With immediate effect, two of the best German heavyweight boxers, Viktor Jurk (Flensburg) and Peter Kadiru (Hamburg), will strengthen the team. With their arrival, the Heidelberg “stable” is finally growing into the absolute heavyweight of the German boxing scene.
Alexander Okafor also signs
“After Emanuel Odiase and light heavyweight Alex Okafor, with whom we were also able to sign a long-term contract this week, we are looking forward to the additions of Viktor Jurk and Peter Kadiru,” explained Winter. “These transfers are a milestone for us. Both are among the best that German heavyweight boxing has to offer. Alongside Emanuel Odiase and Nelvie Tiafack, the future belongs to them.”
Former German champion Viktor Jurk from Flensburg has an unblemished 11-0 fight record and now wants to continue his development and soon fight for more major titles. Junior Olympic champion Peter Kadiru is already ranked 14th in the IBF rankings. The 28-year-old is set to defend his IBF Intercontinental title next year.

Viktor Jurk: “I am delighted to now find the best conditions for a successful future in the ‘Flo’ team and the Ringside Zone. Something big is being created here and I’m delighted to be a part of it.”
Peter Kadiru: “I am very optimistic about the boxing year 2026. We will get people excited about boxing again and win back many who have since turned to other combat sports. Ringside Zone’s big debut event in July was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. Now I can continue to develop here and work with Flo and the team to bring German boxing back to the big stage. The boxing world can dress warmly.”
Florian Winter: “We are experiencing a momentum in German professional boxing with a golden generation of young and also experienced boxers like Peter Kadiru. We want to reshape the future of German boxing and usher in a perhaps historic era reminiscent of the great times of Maske, Klitschko and Schulz. The year 2026 will be a game changer.”
“Night of the Heavyweights” planned for May
Florian Winter also advises the German Olympic bronze medalist from Paris 2024, Nelvie Tiafack, who is under contract with Jake Paul’s US boxing team “MVP”. Winter therefore has access to all the top German heavyweights.
“Agit Kabayel’s fight marks a spectacular start to 2026 in Germany, laying the foundations for a landmark year in German boxing. Ringside Zone ensures that the new generation of top German boxers is ready to build on this and fight for titles and international glory.”
In May 2026, Winter and his team are planning a unique highlight event, the “Night of the Heavyweights” in a large German arena. Alongside other major events, this event will mark the start of a pioneering future for German professional boxing.
German boxing fans can look forward to spectacular fights, new formats and consistent further development of the boxers, both in terms of sport and media.
